Global Process and Pipeline Services Limited is currently owned by the management staff and few strategic investors who include eminent personalities capable of providing leadership to the group at the highest levels of policy making. External non-executive directors were appointed to improve the quality of the board.

Engr. Obidike Nelkon Uzu

Managing Director

Engr. Obidike Nelkon Uzu is a distinguished Petroleum Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree (1989) and Master’s degree (1995) from the University of Port-Harcourt. He further advanced his education with notable executive programs, becoming an alumnus of both Harvard Business School (Owner President Programme, OPM50, 2015-2017) and Cambridge Judge Business School (Advanced Leadership Programme, ALP, 2015). Additionally, he has undergone extensive professional training across Nigeria, the UK, the USA, and Aberdeen.

With over 32 years of oil field experience, Engr. Uzu’s career is marked by significant contributions in Drilling Operations (Sedco Forex), Petroleum Production Technology (SPDC), and Process and Pipeline Services (BJ Services). His professional journey includes participation in major global projects across Nigeria, America, and the UK. Notably, he spent 13 years at BJ Services, 9 of which he served as Country Manager of the Pipeline Division, before retiring in 2009.

After his tenure at BJ Services, Engr. Uzu co-founded Global Process and Pipeline Services Ltd (GPPSL) alongside five other highly regarded professionals. As Managing Director for the past 14 years, he has led GPPSL to become a key player in Nigeria’s oil and gas service sector. Under his leadership, GPPSL was recognized as the Best Oil Services Company in Nigeria (2018 and 2019) by the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (NIPS), and for its outstanding contribution to local development by the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB) between 2019-2023. The company also earned the title of Best Energy Services Company in Africa (2021) from Forbes.

Engr. Uzu’s leadership is synonymous with excellence, spanning operations, sales, marketing, and strategic growth for start-up organizations. His professional memberships are extensive, including Fellow of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE), Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Vice Chairman of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN), and 1st Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Institution of Petroleum Engineers (NIPetE). He is also a founding member of the Pipeline Institute, UK, and holds a Fellowship at the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPN). Furthermore, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Professional Pipeline Association of Nigeria (PLAN).

He is a Life Member of the prestigious Music Society of Nigeria (MUSON) and holds memberships in The Ikoyi Club 1938 (Golfer) and The Metropolitan Club, Lagos. His mantra, “Seek for excellence and integrity and success will pursue you,” encapsulates his professional ethos. A humble achiever, Engr. Uzu is deeply committed to mentoring and helping others grow.

Engr. Abel Usiagwu

Non-Executive Director

Engr. Abel Usiagwu is a Mechanical Engineer with over twenty-three years of hands-on experience in oilfield operations. He graduated from the University of Benin in 1991 and has built a strong career across cementing, stimulation, sand control, and fracturing services.

His professional journey includes extensive technical and managerial exposure with Shell, Halliburton, Western Atlas, and BJ Services. He received structured on-the-job training in equipment maintenance, engineering, sales, and leadership across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States, where he worked as an Associate Engineer.

Engr. Usiagwu joined BJ Services as an Engineer Trainee and rose to Station and Operations Manager before transitioning to Global Process and Pipeline Services Limited as a Director. He brings practical operational discipline, safety awareness, and execution strength to the Board. He is a registered engineer with COREN and a member of NSE and SPE.

Engr. Chris Udonna Onyemaizu, FNSE, FICA, FIC

Executive Director, Engineering and Business Development

Engr. Chris Onyemaizu is the Executive Director, Engineering and Business Development, and Secretary to the Board of Global Process and Pipeline Services Limited. He has over thirty years of experience in oil and gas operations, with strong expertise in pipeline pre-commissioning, maintenance, and business development.

His career spans field operations, engineering, sales, training, safety, and executive leadership across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Angola, Congo, and Cameroon. He previously held senior roles with Ener National Nigeria Limited, BJ Services Company Nigeria Limited, and Oilserv Limited.

Engr. Onyemaizu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt and an MSc in Global Business Management from Aston University. He has completed executive programs at Harvard Business School and Cambridge Judge Business School. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers and holds multiple professional fellowships. His experience supports strategic growth, partnerships, and disciplined corporate governance.

Engr. (Dr.) Chamberlain Duruike, FNSE, PhD

Executive Director, Global Operations

Dr. Chamberlain Duruike is a seasoned executive with over twenty-five years of experience spanning the pharmaceutical, power, and oil and gas sectors. His background covers engineering, operations, business development, sales, marketing, and strategic planning, with a consistent record of driving growth, operational excellence and improving financial performance.

He has worked with leading multinational organizations and brings strong international exposure shaped by global standards and best practices. His leadership strength lies in translating strategy into execution, developing partnerships, and delivering sustainable value while improving efficiency and cost control.

Engr. Chamberlain holds a bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering), Nigeria; a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), USA; a Master’s degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MSc), Spain; a PhD in Strategic Management, USA; a professional executive certificate from Harvard Business School of Harvard University (Leading an Agile Workforce Transformation), USA; The Judge Business School of University of Cambridge (Advanced Leadership Program), UK; the Mays Business School of Texas A&M University, USA on Business Leadership Development; also, a graduate of Halliburton’s prestigious President’s Leadership Excellence Program (PLEP). A registered engineer with the Council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN); and a FELLOW of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE).

Professor S. J. S. Cookey, OFR, KSC, PhD

Non-Executive Director

Professor S. J. S. Cookey is a distinguished administrator, historian, and public intellectual from the Niger Delta region. He is a retired Professor of History and former Vice Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt. He also served as Pro Chancellor of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

His international academic career includes leadership roles as Chairman of the Department of Afro-American Studies at the State University of New York, Binghamton, and the Department of African Studies at Rutgers University, New Jersey. Beyond academia, he contributed to global development efforts as a member of the UNDP Global Environmental Facility mission to several African countries.

Professor Cookey brings to the Board deep experience in governance, institutional leadership, public policy, and regional development. His perspective strengthens the company’s strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and commitment to responsible operations. He is an Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
